ABOUT ERIN

Erin Salmon, LMBT 6154, graduated from the Body Therapy Institute in Silk Hope, NC in 2005, but her journey to massage work began while studying abroad in Vietnam in 2000. A project allowed for opportunities to visit public healthcare centers run by Buddhist nuns and monks, and to conduct interviews with medical doctors trained in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western allopathic medicine. Erin was captivated by what she observed; a holistic and multifaceted approach to maintaining wellness, and to addressing disease, dysfunction, and injuries.

Since then, Erin has studied and gained work experience in nutrition, therapeutic massage and bodywork, herbalism, and yoga.  Fueled by a passion for understanding the dynamic nature of the body and the relationships it forms internally and externally, she has spent nearly 2 decades integrating her professional experiences with her personal experiences as a daughter, wife, mother, homeschool educator, nature lover, and artist.

Erin’s current work as a massage therapist includes myofascial release and deep tissue work, Swedish massage, pregnancy massage (Nurturing the MotherR certified), craniosacral therapy, lymphatic massage, reflexology, and onsite chair massage.

Clients can expect to receive unique, individualized massage sessions that incorporate techniques relevant to the specific needs of each person. She enjoys working with others to develop increased connection, awareness, and confidence within their own human bodies.
